The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a respected network of knowledge. Hence it is essential to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior.
Authorship Practice
- Authorship credit should be based on substantial contributions only
- Source of funding for research or publication should be acknowledged
- Fundamental errors, if any, in published works should be brought out
- Avoid multiple or concurrent submissions for publication
- Avoid plagiarism and fabricated results
- Declare conflict of interests, if any
- Follow reporting standards
Reviewer ship Practice
- Contribute to editorial decision on publication in most fair and unbiased way
- Uphold standards of the Journal and research community
- Maintain confidentiality of work
- Prompt response to reduce turn-around time
- Declare conflict of interests, if any
Editorial & Publisher’s Practice
- Contribute to publication decision in most fair and unbiased way giving due consideration to reviewer’s comments
- Uphold standards of the Journal and research community
- Maintain confidentiality of work at all levels
- Timely and effective communication with all involved in publication for fast and smooth operations
- Declare conflict of interests, if any
- Put best possible efforts to make the research contributions reach to as large a community as possible
Policy and Action for Plagiarism
- DIJCM is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form and aims at protecting and promoting original work of its authors.
- All manuscripts submitted for publication to DIJCM are cross-checked for plagiarism using available software.
- Manuscripts found to be plagiarized during initial stages of review are out-rightly rejected and not considered for publication in the journal.
- Manuscript found to be plagiarized beyond acceptable limits after publication are retracted. In such case editor-in-chief may also contact Head of the organization to which the author(s) is (are) affiliated with a request to take strict actions.
- Author(s) found to be involved in plagiarism act may be restricted to make any submissions for particular duration or even permanently.
